About ME
How it all Began…
I was born and raised in Columbia, MD. I graduated from Atholton High School (2013), and graduated from Howard Community College (2015) and the University of Maryland (2017). As an athlete, I grew up playing soccer, basketball & lacrosse. An injury during my Junior Year in high school caused me to switch from lacrosse to track & field, and I went on to compete at the collegiate level in the javelin event.
After collegiate track & field, I assisted with strength & performance for the University of Maryland Women’s Basketball team. Sports have always been a huge part of my life, and with the goal of giving back to youth athletes, I decided to return to Howard County to train middle & high school athletes. In addition, I returned to coaching basketball at the AAU level for boys and at the High School level for girls.
I have been a Personal Trainer & Sports Performance Coach for over 8 years now. I help middle & high school athletes strength train in a way that allows them to prevent & avoid injury so that they can perform at their best both on & off the court or the field. And in the process, mentor youth athletes to be successful and help them develop a positive mindset, proper discipline & a strong work ethic!
I, myself, have had countless injuries as an athlete, including 4 knee surgeries, so a goal of mine is to incorporate many injury prevention & corrective-based exercises into programming for all my clients & athletes. I also emphasize many functional training parameters to allow my clients & athletes to transfer what they learn & accomplish in the gym and take them out into the real world.
Alongside my sports performance & injury prevention training, I also train adult fitness, weight loss, and provide nutrition & exercise programming both in-person & online. I offer several training packages: Individual, Semi-Private, Group, Team Training, & Online Programming.
Whether it be aiming for a collegiate athletic scholarship, returning from an injury, or transforming your life & taking the journey to becoming the best version of yourself, we will get there, together!
